A spring afternoon in Little Fort

We're re-opening the campground this spring as Fox & Maple RV Resort (formerly Thuya Creek) and we'd love to meet the neighbours. This is a small, no-pressure get-together to kick off the season.

There will be live music, free hotdogs from a visiting food truck, a bouncy castle for the kids, and a small community market where locals can share what they make or pass along things their families no longer need.

No tickets, no RSVP form — a Facebook like is how we're keeping rough count. Just show up.

What's happening on the day

  • Live music — acoustic and easy-going, outdoor stage.
  • Free hotdogs from a visiting food truck — on us, while they last.
  • Bouncy castle — for the younger crowd.
  • Community market — local neighbours bringing handmade crafts and gently used household items to share, trade, or sell. If you'd like a spot, sign up here.
  • Tour of the property — come see the work we've done over the winter (showers, facilities, new builds in progress).

Who we're hoping to meet

This is a community gathering for folks from Little Fort, Barriere, Clearwater, and the surrounding area. Everyone's welcome — we're just keeping it local and low-key, not a destination event. The goal is to meet the people we're now lucky enough to call neighbours.

This is the first time we're doing this. If it goes well, we'd love to make it a yearly tradition — so your being there on the day is what makes next year happen.

Parking

Follow the signs when you arrive. There will be a marked parking area on site. Please don't block RV sites or emergency lanes, and if you can carpool with neighbours, it makes the day easier for everyone.

Looking out for each other

A few common-sense things for the day:

  • Keep an eye on your own kids and be friendly to your neighbours.
  • Take your own trash with you — and if you spot litter that isn't yours, please grab it anyway.
  • There are security cameras in several spots around the property — not because we expect trouble, but so everyone feels comfortable.
  • If something doesn't feel right, find a staff member right away.
